Happy New Year!! Bonne Annee!!
Yes, I know I’m a few days late in officially wishing all of you — my family, friends, former, future and prospective clients — a very Happy New Year. But, that’s just kind of how this crazy life goes these days! I had full intentions of having a nice family portrait taken by a photographer friend for holiday and/or New Years cards. And I also wanted to create a fun collage with a select image from all of my client photo sessions from 2018… Buuuut running two small businesses (Pictours Paris + Zia), having a fun-loving two-year-old, and welcoming two sets of family members to Paris for the holidays, has kept us a little more than busy! 🙂
So this photo of me was taken two evenings ago by my brother, Brian (he’s visiting from the USA), after three couples photo sessions throughout the day. I was tired, hungry and cold (even though I had two warm coats on!). But overall I felt overjoyed. I truly love the work I do. My passion for photography turned into my career the moment we moved to Paris 7+ years ago. It’s been challenging at times, but overall so rewarding. Meeting people from around the world — and providing them with beautiful Paris memories that will last them a lifetime — brings me so much joy. So, I’d like to extend a million thank you’s to all of my former clients for entrusting in my creative vision for your romantic Paris portraits; your surprise proposals; your family memories; your intimate elopements, and all others in-between. And to all of the clients I’m going to meet this year, I can’t wait to capture your special time in this magical place I call my home.
